The Archdiocesan Safe Environment Program (ASEP) now offers vicariate-level training sessions in sexual abuse awareness. Click below to find a session in your area utilizing VIRTUS Online.
Training for teachers, catechists, coaches, youth ministry personnel, and other parish employees and volunteers who have regular contact with minors is a key requirement of the Bishop's Charter for the Protection of Children & Young People. Along with these parish staff members, all priests, permanent deacons and religious who minister to young people are required to attend a training session in the coming months.
Archdiocesan volunteer facilitators have been thoroughly screened and trained to present the sessions on prevention of sexual abuse of minors and young people through the highly regarded VIRTUS® -- Protecting God's Children™ program.
