Catholic New York is featuring a monthly series on the Lay Ecclesial Movements and New Communities in the archdiocese. The purpose is to introduce, and in some cases reintroduce, members of the archdiocese's Council of Lay Ecclesial Movements and New Communities. Some of the groups, like Charismatic Renewal and Worldwide Marriage Encounter, are well known, while others, such as Heart's Home and Community of Sant'Egidio, may be less familiar to readers.
